Insider's Guide to Photoshop World

In case you didn't see it, Matt Kloskowski has posted a great "Insider's Guide" to PSW. See it on his blog

Here's my 2 cents (CDN) to add in.....

1. If like me you drink Coke products, you're out of luck at the Mandalay/Luxor complex. I always run across the street to the hole-in-the-wall convenience store and buy a 12-pack of Diet Coke (and a few affordable snacks)

2. If you have any logistical questions while you're there, ask a person wearing a STAFF shirt. These people actually work for us - they're not hired temps. So you may be getting directions or advice from our HR Director or one of the designers who works on Photoshop User Magazine.

3. Be patient. Yes, there will be lots of people there, and like you, they have made a large investment to be there. So try to be patient with the lines and the human traffic as you move from class to class. Every year we make improvements to the room sizes etc, but with that many people in one place at the same time, there are bound to be little glitches here and there.

4. Matt said this in his guide too, but please save your questions for after/between sessions. Instructors are happy to answer indivdual questions but during the session is not the time to do it. If you can't track down the instructor, the Help Desk Live is there to answer your questions too.

5. Signs are your friends. Felix Nelson does a masterful job of creating directional and informational signs and putting them in just the right spot. So take advantage of those great signs (Felix rocks!)

6. Above all, have fun while you learn!
