Finish the Sentence...with Matt Kloskowski

[cue the oddly familiar game show music]
"It's time once again to ask a well-known photographer, instructor or otherwise interesting person the same 10 questions and ask them to Finish the Sentence! This week we'll rock the house with.... Matt Kloskowski.

Matt, please Finish the Sentence..."

My favorite photography accessory (lights, modifier, bag, tripod) is
My UpStrap. It is seriously the ultimate shoulder strap and my camera never budges from shoulder (upstrap-pro.com).

I’ve learned the most from..
A boss I had about 10 years ago. His name was Jeff and he taught me that it's easier to ask for forgiveness then it is permission. That lesson has a lot more to it though. Basically, it means, JUST DO IT! Of course, be smart and don't do stupid things (which you will from time to time), but just do it. Don't wait around for a committee to agree that it's the right thing. If you do (and I have) then some one else will just do it (and they have).

If I could go anywhere in the world it would be_____ because….
- the top of Mt. Everest because I can only imagine the view there at sunrise or sunset (I just don't want to do the climbing part)

My most-used Photoshop add-on, plugin, action set (etc) is
Nik Dfine for Noise Removal

I love the fact that Photoshop
Has actions and automations to speed up repetitive tasks

I hate the fact that Photoshop
Has the worst possible actions as presets when you open the Actions palette (come on... Molten Lead?)

If I could turn back the clock 10 years
I'd have bought a lot more of Adobe's stock then I did (hey... you asked! I'm just bein' honest).

In 10 years
I'd love to be doing what I'm doing now and hopefully more of it. I really dig this stuff.

If I could give one piece of advice it would be
To forget about the technical stuff sometimes. Don't concentrate so much on histograms, 8-bit, 16-bit, JPEG/Raw, Adobe RGB vs. sRGB etc... Concentrate on what you're seeing, take better photos and that stuff won't be as crucial.
