Here's a simple way to turn an Illustrator object into a path in Photoshop: In Illustrator, select the graphic and with the Command key (PC: Control key) held down, drag and drop from Illustrator into a Photoshop dopcument. A Work Path will automatically be created.
The alternative would be to Copy and Paste, choosing Path from the dialog box.
